The Gateway Chapter is thrilled to invite Student Volunteers to participate in the 1st Unravel Student Competition. Each student volunteer will be invited to create the accessory of their choosing to wear the night of Unravel. You will receive a “kit of materials” to fabricate your accessory, walk the runway with fellow students, and have the chance to win the People’s Choice Prize $100 Visa Gift Card for the best student creation!
- $25 entry fee into competition / opportunity available to student volunteers
- "kit of materials" - provided week of September 10 to include artwork, fabric and laminate samples
- EACH Student to fabricate an accessory to be worn the night of the event (for example, hat, brooch, mask, etc.)
- 25% of accessory can be outside materials provided by student
- Walk runway the night of the event
- While volunteering - engage with design community to introduce yourself / talk about your creation / boost your votes
- Volunteer tasks may include Emcee assistant, performer assistant, VIP runners, model assistants, snack and food assistants, etc and will be designated at a later date
- Prize to be given to People's Choice the night of the event
Please note: this is an individual student (no teams) competition open to ALL student volunteers. If you currently work with a firm participating in Unravel, we invite you to still participate on the design team if desired. However, you cannot be the model or model assistant as you will be participating in other parts of the show.
